The trail begins near the Gold Bar camping area along Potash Road, nestled tightly to the banks of the Colorado River. It was time for lunch and another hike elsewhere. Outside of Arches National Park, Corona and Bowtie Arch are some of the most accessible and prominent arches to be found. We added another 1-mile section to see Pinto Arch, which wasn't as spectacular as the other two arches. Just a couple of months earlier, Utah state officials had banned commercial swinging from Corona Arch but non-commercial rope swinging was still allowed. Thankfully, the area around the arches was quite extensive, and it was possible to get away from others and find areas of semi-solitude, at least for a few minutes. Luckily we arrived early enough on a Saturday to get parking and miss the main flux of folks, though we had to hike "against the flow" on the way back.
